Former rapists, murderers and terrorists wanted to prohibit control of a taxi and public transport. The relevant draft law developed by the Ministry of transport, report “Izvestia” with reference to the press service of the Russian government.
Employers will be obliged not be allowed to drive a taxi or public transport those who have an unexpunged or outstanding conviction, if the offense was deemed serious or very serious. Will not employ convicted on counts of felony murder, deliberate causing of heavy harm to health, torture, rape and terrorism.
The Ministry of transport explained that thus want to ensure the safety of passengers. In July, the document want to make a Commission on legislative activities. According to the document, the new rules could enter into force in 2021.
1 February it was reported that the Ministry of transportation proposed a two-fold increase in fines for drivers of taxis and buses for violation of traffic rules.
