In recent years several airlines have complained of problems with admission into the Dnieper.
The deputies of the Dnieper the city Council has registered the draft decision on creation of the municipal enterprise “Dnipro airport”, – said the head of the faction “Union of Self” Artem Hop.
According to him, this could be the beginning of an interchange serious traffic problems of the city. It is assumed that the new terminal will be built, which will use the existing infrastructure of the existing airport of the Dnieper, which belongs to the state.
In particular, we are talking about the runway and lands. As noted by the Hop, the construction of a new terminal needs to happen at the expense of investors or large investment banks and the structure itself should be free for all international airlines in the world.
Flights to the airport of the Dnieper were not able to start “UTair Ukraine” and flydubai, and in 2016 flights from Istanbul to Dnipro was forced to cancel Turkish Airlines. As a response several months later, the flights of “Dniproavia” from the Dnieper to Istanbul banned the Turkish aviation authorities. The result of such a policy at the end of 2016, the airport of the Dnieper river served only 284,9 thousand passengers, which is by 17.7% less than in 2015.
