Ex-developers of games Dying Light and Dead Island, now working at a Polish Studio Creepy Jar, has announced a simulator of survival in the Amazon jungle Green Hell.
Our hero finds himself in the wilds of the rainforest, not having any connection with the outside world and relying only on their strength, it needs to get to civilization. “Of all the equipment you only have the radio and you go forward at the familiar voice of a loved one, overcoming the endless dangers of the jungle… slowly, piece by piece, folding picture of what happened, and the answer to this question will be even worse dangers on the way” — say the developers.
In Green Hell the authors want to implement the most realistic ways of survival. According to them, all elements are close to what they can be in real life, including a campfire, camp arrangement and placement of traps for animals. In the process you will have to search for materials and craft items to survive, to gather food and to treat wounds, illnesses and injuries that occur in different situations. In addition, the risk will represent not only the physical factors of the environment, but also your inner state. “The mind becomes the enemy: you have to fight with traps of your own mind and fears that grow no worse than mushrooms in a damp darkness of the jungle,” stir up the staff of the Creepy Jar.
It is customary for projects of this genre, Green Hell first released on Steam Early Access. The early release version is planned for summer of this year. Release date of full version is not yet announced, and the list of platforms currently is PC only.
