Russia will face new sanctions.
The Minister of foreign Affairs of Poland Witold Waszczykowski said that most European Union countries support the renewal of economic sanctions against the Russian Federation.
He stated this after a meeting of Ministers that took place on Monday, may 15.
“Sanctions should be continued. Russia is a state that is not cooperating, does not implement the Minsk agreements, and therefore, there is nothing to say”, — said the Minister of foreign Affairs of Poland.
The head of Polish diplomacy Witold Waszczykowski reported later that most of the Ministers who participated in the discussion spoke clearly: economic sanctions against Russia should be maintained.
It is worth noting that sanctions against Russia the EU imposed in August 2014 in response to Russian aggression in Ukraine and occupation of Crimea. Since that time, they were continued many times.
The final decision on further sanctions should be taken in the EU next month.
