The police detained the coordinator of the project Gulagu.net in Irkutsk airport

At the airport of Irkutsk have detained the coordinator of the project Gulagu.net Boris Ushakov, who arrived on a business trip in connection with information about the extortion and dislodging surrenders in two urban jail. About it reports “MBH media”. The officers who conducted the arrest, no complaints voiced. “At the moment to me is the threat of physical violence. Is a police officer, an airport employee and strange civilian who illegally detained me at the time, until I can make up obscure documents”, — quotes the edition.

However, later it became known that Ushakov made the Protocol under article 20.21 of the administrative code (“the Appearance in public places in an alcohol intoxication”). In the words of the social worker, the police did not allow him to write comments in the report. He pointed to another violation: inspection, at which witnesses were employees of the security service of the airport.

After that, Ushakov was taken to the medical examination on which he insisted. He said “MBH media”, in the morning he intends to go to the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee on transport and write a statement about the abuse of power by the staff during its inspection.

 

The project Gulagu.net works to protect the rights of people in detention and also under investigation or in court.
