The village of Corippo in Switzerland.
Amidst the picturesque green slopes of Switzerland lost the tiny village of Corippo. It is home to only 16 people, and a real threat of extinction of the population. But, it seems, the authorities found a way not to allow the settlement to disappear from the map, and to get people to settle there.
The history of the community, Corippo (Corippo) in the Canton of Ticino is very ancient. This place was founded in the XIII century. In 1822, when the settlement was granted the status of independent municipal units, there were more than 300 inhabitants. Today there are only 16. One working, the other retired.
Recently, the network got a video about this place. The result was not long in coming – in the village of gushing tourists, the benefit that Corippo is located almost on the border of Italy and Switzerland, and just an hour drive from Milan.
The Swiss government decided to make the village a kind of hotel “Albergo diffuso”, i.e. “Scattered hotel”. Tourists will be able to live right in the historic buildings. It is only necessary to put everything in order.
For the reconstruction of Corippo is 6 million francs. 5 million will be spent on the improvement of the hotel’s 240 thousand for the reconstruction of the mill, the remaining funds will be spent on the transformation of the landscape. It is expected that the hotel opening will occur in spring 2018.
