According to forecasts, by the end of the 21st century, the global sea level will rise by 2.5 meters, which will lead to the displacement of millions of people across the planet.
The increase in global sea level caused by three main factors: the melting of mountain glaciers, thermal expansion of ocean and melting of the Greenland ice shield. In 2015 and 2016 photographer and ecoactivists from new York Diana Taft (Diane Tuft) decided to document the process of melting of the glaciers before they disappeared from the face of the Earth.
For this she had to make the long journey to Greenland and Spitsbergen, where they were made are presented below the images.
