Britt Marie Bye was a photographer from Norway, Oslo. Norway is one of the most beautiful countries in the world and is a popular tourist destination. Small Islands, white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters, situated under a huge mountain peaks, creates a spectacular landscape. However, the region suffers from declining population, and many of the old homes were abandoned, Novosti N.
“I travel throughout the North to document these lost homes. To try to capture the beauty and melancholy of what once was. I feel the need to continue to tell their stories — to keep them in our present, even if they were in the past.” — says the photographer.
