The Kremlin said that I have no reason to believe that Kadyrov has deceived Putin.
The Kremlin has no reason to believe that Ramzan Kadyrov gave the President of Russia Vladimir Putin false information about the situation in the region.
This was stated press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the statement of “Novaya Gazeta” that Kadyrov knew about the persecution of gays in Chechnya and deceived Putin during the meeting.
“I repeat: we have no reason to believe that Kadyrov could give wrong information to the head of state”, – said Peskov.
He added that the President is guided by the information obtained from alternative sources, including from special services.
“There is no reason to talk about the existence of those facts”, – said Putin’s press Secretary.
He stressed that Kadyrov “definitely called the reports slander”, so long as no personal statements of victims, there is “no reason not to trust the head of the Republic”.
