Minister of social policy proposed to postpone the second phase of pension reform for a year
The Ministry of social policy decided to postpone the introduction of the second funded pillar of the pension system on a year – until January 1, 2020.
The corresponding changes at the government meeting on 14 November, proposed that the Minister of social policy Andrei Reva.
The final Cabinet decision, Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman instructed to finalize it within three days.
Recall that the first phase of pension reform began on 1 January 2018. The IMF demanded to increase the retirement age for the Ukrainians, but was found to be another option – increasing the minimum insurance period for retirement from 15 to 25 years.
In September, the IMF said that the pension reform in Ukraine gives the expected results.
