If Ukraine will not be carried out pension reform, in three to five years, the Pension Fund will be absolutely bankrupt.
This was stated by Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman.
“The truth is that the Pension Fund has a growing deficit. Now it is more than 140 billion — more than education, science, culture together. It’s more of the defense budget. Therefore, the system is imperfect,” said he, adding that its changes are urgently needed.
The Prime Minister also assured that the reform involves only the restoration of social justice, but not raising the retirement age. In particular, avoid “egalitarianism”, the Cabinet proposes increasing the minimum seniority to 25 years, which is quite possible for permanently employed person.
“Even if you started work 25 years to 50 years you will have those 25 years of experience. But retirement will come out in 60 years” — reassured Groisman.
