The PACE President expressed no confidence

PACE is that there is no procedure of recall of the President from office.

The Bureau of the parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) has expressed distrust of the President Pedro Agramunt and forbade him to take any actions on behalf of the Assembly.

This was announced by the Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, Chairman of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE Vladimir Aryev on his Facebook page.

“The PACE President Agramunt did not write a resignation, did not appear at the Bureau and, accordingly, have not made any statements previously promised. The Bureau of the Assembly that only an absolute majority of votes expressed no confidence and refused permission to carry out visits, to make statements and carry out other activity on behalf of PACE,” wrote Ryan.

He also noted that PACE had no procedure for recall of a President from office, because for all time of existence of the Assembly this was not necessary. Now, however, the procedural Committee, he said, must develop the procedure.
