The Assembly is concerned about the slow pace of combating corruption and limited concrete results.
PACE presented the report “the Functioning of democratic institutions in Ukraine”, in which corruption is considered as the main problem of the country, writes Deutsche Welle.
In the document it is said that “the long absence of concrete progress” in the fight against corruption “can potentially reduce the effect of the ambitious reforms of the government and in the end undermine public confidence in the political and legal systems as a whole.”
“The Assembly is concerned about the slow pace of combating corruption and limited concrete results,” – said in the report.
The vote on the draft resolution will be held on January 25.
