Hug stressed that one should not make false statements.
First Deputy Chairman of the special OSCE monitoring mission in Ukraine Alexander hug said that the observers are unable to cooperate with the secret services, as it strictly forbids the code of professional ethics.
He said this during a briefing in the occupied Lugansk, answering the questions of the media, both Russian and controlled by the rebels.
In particular, the Russian journalist said that the leaders of the occupied Lugansk has repeatedly reported on the collaboration of the representatives of CMM with the Ukrainian special services in the Armed forces.
He was asked to comment on what is this cooperation.
In turn, the hug said that the OSCE has a mandate that allows contact with all conflicting parties, but however, the mission is not intelligence.
“We can’t cooperate with one side or the other, we perform only Supervisory functions. What we see and hear – put in their reports, which are published in English, Ukrainian and Russian language”, – said the representative of the SMM.
“Before you go to work, all our employees sign a code of professional ethics and to those who violate this code shall apply strict measures developed by the leadership of the mission,” he added.
Hug stressed that one should not make false statements and before to do this, you must provide documentary evidence of inappropriate conduct of employees of the OSCE.
