Last week in the area of ATO recorded 40% fewer violations of the regime of silence.
Last week in the East of Ukraine the representatives of Special monitoring mission of the OSCE recorded 40% fewer violations of silence regime compared to a week earlier.
This was announced by first Deputy head of the OSCE mission in Ukraine Alexander hug.
According to him, from 19 to 25 June, the representatives of the OSCE counted 110 explosions in the area of ATO. At that time, as a week earlier – from 12 to 18 June – recorded 617 explosions.
“Last week, the SMM OSCE in Ukraine recorded 40% fewer violations of the cease-fire, if to compare with last week. If you look at the number of explosions from the fire with the use of the Minsk agreements prohibited weapons, including tanks, mortars, artillery and jet systems of volley fire, reducing the level of violence was even more noticeable,” – said hug.
The Deputy chief of mission links the decline in the number of attacks with the conclusion of the so-called “bread truce”, which concluded on June 24. Therefore, at the time of harvest until 31 August, the parties resumed the obligation to uphold the ceasefire.
But it’s worth noting that the shelling in the Donbass continue, and the parties accuse each other of ceasefire violations.
