The OSCE announced the cause of the escalation of the conflict in the Donbas

OSCE blames no one in the escalation in the Donbass, said the first Deputy head of the mission Alexander hug.

First Deputy head of the Special monitoring mission of the OSCE Alexander hug believes that one of the reasons for escalation in Donbas – this is the placement of the arms in close proximity to each other. He stated this today at a press conference.

“The likelihood of violence is higher when the parties are placed in close proximity to each other. If you want to protect the infrastructure in the Donbas, the positions are not to approach , and heavy weapons that can hit these objects, should be given”, – he said.

Hug said that the OSCE no one blames the escalation in the Donbass.

“Anyone not pointing the finger, we just establish the facts on the ground, and these facts are available to everyone in the public domain in the reports of the OSCE,” added hug.

He added that in the town the OSCE observed the use of MLRS on both sides in the period of aggravation of the situation.

“Really observed the use of MLRS from two sides, as well as finding MLRS on both sides of the distinction, and they shouldn’t be. I must emphasize that the nature of fire MLRS illegible, and this leads to casualties among civilians. These weapons should be withdrawn to a great distance from the demarcation line,” he noted.

The escalation of hostilities in the Donbas over the past week killed eight civilians, another 30 were injured.
