The operators of Russia intends to significantly strengthen measures for the surveillance of its subscribers, though in the very soon future. Everything starts with Beeline who is going to buy equipment of high accuracy to determine the location of one or another mobile device in its network.
Of course, all this is due to the desire to improve the quality of communication, because more precise the geolocation will allow you to assign a particular mobile nearest base station in the current time. The accuracy of the determination will be up to 100 meters. Operator Tele2 has been watching its subscribers, but in stealth mode: brand the app running in the background, analyzes the quality of communication and consuming precious percent charge of the battery, sends all collected data to the server together with the current coordinates of the subscriber.
In fact, all of these methods of surveillance have already recognized as legitimate, after all ostensibly to improve the quality of communication, but there is no guarantee that all this information is not shared with third parties, because if someone does not know, in Russia there are no law which would regulate the processing of large volumes of user data. In other words, mere mortals can’t take the operator to court because he is watching his movements in real time, and forbid him to do it. By the way, some Russian operators have already been convicted of the sale of these data to spammers.
