The unusual design of the architectural company.
Project Bureau Z-level Architecture renovated old tower of the XVIII century, located on the Mani Peninsula in Greece. The abandoned building was transformed into a house on a hill with views of olive groves and the sea.
Cut off from the road, the residence is accessible only by paved road, and next to it a tower of the XVI century, which is a historical monument and the Byzantine chapel with wall paintings of the XII century. Designed for relaxation, this house has found the necessary comfort while maintaining the charm and spirit of the past.
The total lack of infrastructure turned into a challenging task towards implementation of the project. The house had to make a self-sufficient and sustainable, focusing only on what is really necessary. The two-story space of the main building area of 88 square meters was complemented by an extension that gave the residence of 62 more square. Each floor has a separate access to the garden and are decorated individually in accordance with the orientation.
