The oil industry secretly preparing to produce oil in the Holy place of the aborigines of KMAD

Company “Surgutneftegas” plans to extract oil in the territory of the nature Park Numto (Beloyarskiy district, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous district), in the Holy place of Ugra natives. Oil already held a public hearing at which there was almost no local residents told the “URA.RU” in the organization “Greenpeace Russia”.

During the hearing, the company has reported on the design of the sites of prospecting and appraisal wells on Vatlorsky license area and the drilling of wells in the field name Logacheva within the boundaries of the nature Park Numto. According to social activists, villagers Numto located in a natural Park, no one was notified about these hearings. “Of the 200 people registered in the village, participated in all four. Seven families of herders that work directly on wetlands (about 30 people), learned about the hearing only after the elections”, — declared in “Greenpeace Russia”.

Environmentalists claim that oil production in the Park Numto contrary to the law, and the activities of oil companies destroy the local ecosystem.

In a press-service “Surgutneftegaz” and at reception of the administration of Beloyarskiy district for calls not answered. But we know that until February 24, after hearings in the “Surgutneftegaz” collect comments and suggestions on the draft.

As previously reported, “URA.RU” against oil production in Numto were not only natives, but also the Russian presidential adviser Mikhail Fedotov, onf, well-known Russian scientists. In October of 2017 came a protest note to UN against the Russian government due to this situation.
