Members of the Royal family traditionally greet people from the balcony, and took part in the parade.
91-year-old Elizabeth II sat in the carriage with his 96-year-old husband the Duke of Edinburgh Prince Philip.

Recall that Queen Elizabeth II celebrated two birthdays. The actual birthday falls on 21 April and runs without any special celebrations. The official birthday of providing for the parade and festivities, usually celebrated on the second Saturday of June, but this year due to the General election has been postponed to the third.
Also note that the Queen in her birthday held a minute of silence in memory of those killed in the fire in London.
