The Ministry of internal Affairs of Ukraine published information on registered, seized and stolen guns in 2016.

Total in Ukraine firearms own more than 909 thousand citizens. Hunting rifles and combined guns have 764 thousand people, and smoothbore arms from 144 thousand people, i.e. a total of 909 thousand 7 people. In 2015, the weapons possessed 826 41 thousand people, i.e. 9% less.
People also was more than 104 thousand gas pistols and 205 thousand devices for shooting of rubber bullets.
Last year, Ukrainian law enforcement officers seized more than 12 thousand units of the weapon for violation of the law, and more than 16 thousand weapons were voluntarily surrendered.
