Official images of the crossover BMW X3 was leaked. The images were published on the official website of the brand in Hong Kong. Soon the pictures were deleted, but in the order of publication BMW Blog remains relevant screenshots. The official premiere of the car will take place later, on June 26. The model will debut on the American facility in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
The SUV will stand on a modified modular chassis CLAR, which already lies at the basis of its flagship sedan 7-Series family of 5-Series. Through the use of the new architecture X3 will increase in size, but it will be lighter than its predecessor.
The novelty will receive a modified grille, different rear bumper and new exhaust system. Photos of interior are not yet available. Also the car will be equipped with a fully digital instrument panel, large touch screen iDrive system and new transpecies the wheel. In addition the driver will be available semi-Autonomous control system.
The top specification machine will be called the X3 M40i. The new product will complement the 3.0-liter gasoline V6 engine. The capacity of the unit is 360 horsepower. The engine will run in conjunction with the eight-speed automatic transmission. To 100 km/h the crossover will be able to accelerate in 4.8 seconds. The maximum speed of 250 km per hour.
Promised and hybrid modification with the recoil 252 horsepower. One electric car can travel up to 40 kilometers. Average fuel consumption is 2.1 liters per 100 km.
