The new BMW M5 will be the first monoprovodu

The official premiere of the Bavarian sportsedan will be held at the motor show in Frankfurt this autumn.

In the same way as presented in mid-October last year, the business sedan BMW 5 Series fresh generation, the new product built on a new modular platform CLAR.

In comparison with the conventional model, the M5 will get better, but a more robust body with high-strength steels and carbon fiber, as well as redesigned suspension, steering and brakes.

Under the hood “emka” will be the same V8 engine with dual turbo 4.4 liter, whose power will increase to 600 forces, which is 40 HP more than the previous generation. Replaced the 7-step “robot” DCT dual-clutch will come vosmidiapazonnym “automatic” ZF.

For the first time in its 32-year history of the BMW M5 in 5 standard equipment signature all-wheel drive system xDrive, which provides the ability to transfer 100% of torque to the rear axle, making the car actually monoprovodu.

Despite the addition of xDrive and a slight increase in comparison with the predecessor dimensions, the sedan will remain almost the same weight of about 1900 kilograms. Acceleration from standstill to 100 km/h the new “emka” will be reduced from the current 4.2 to 3.5 seconds.

World premiere BMW M5 new generation will take place this fall at the Frankfurt motor show. The model will compete with the Mercedes E63 S AMG (612 HP) and the future Audi RS6 (650 HP).
