The spectacular footage was taken by researchers on NASA from the height of bird flight.
Pictures were taken from the plane, and show the broken piece of glacier Larsen S.
Representatives from NASA showed images of a giant Antarctic iceberg – once part of the glacier Larsen C. It is one of the most massive icebergs ever, reports Mashable.
It is known that the iceberg, named A-68, broke away from a glacier in the period from 10 to 12 July this year. Despite the fact that he has already become somewhat smaller in size, he remains a giant.
The pictures, released by NASA, for the first time demonstrate the iceberg from such a close distance. Until now, all photos in which he was captured, was taken by satellite.
