The NBU has reported on the growth of the money supply

With the beginning of the year the money supply increased by 0.2%.

In October, money supply in Ukraine increased by 0.1% and amounted to 1.12 trillion hryvnia. Relevant information was published by the national Bank of Ukraine.

In NBU note that the corresponding dynamics was due to higher volume of cash in circulation outside banks – 0.7%, to 308,608 billion, while the balances of deposits decreased by 0.1% to 816,333 billion, which is mainly due to the business withdrawal of foreign currency deposits.

Since the beginning of the year the money supply increased by 0.2%.

The credit portfolio of banks in October increased by 1.6% to 988,297 billion. At the same time increased the volume of credits in national currency – by 0.9% to 548,335 billion UAH and in foreign – on 2,5%, to 439,962 billion. The national Bank also said that new loans in national currency attracted people and business, while in foreign currency – business.
