The national team of Ukraine on football in June, will have a debut test match under the leadership of Andriy Shevchenko.
The football Federation of Ukraine has officially confirmed that the friendly match against Malta will take place on 6 June in Graz (Austria). With the Maltese “blue-yellow” will play in preparation for the nearest qualifier for the world Cup qualifier against Finland (June 11, away).
“This team is like our rival Finland, they play in a protective manner, a lot of time in their half, a little miss. It is well organized and disciplined team. During this match we will be able to simulate the official game,” commented future rival coach of the national team of Ukraine Andriy Shevchenko.
At the level of national teams, Ukraine and Malta have not yet crossed. In the selection for Euro 2011, the Ukrainian team twice beat the opponent (3:0 and 1:0, goals scored Rakitskiy, Yarmolenko, Fedorchuk and Linnet), and in qualification for the European championship 2013, Ukrainians in matches against Malta took four points (5:1 and 2:2 goals in those matches mentioned Fishing (3) icon (2), Korkishko and Grechishkin).
