The national team of Ukraine in wrestling got in an accident in Transcarpathia

In the bus there were 38 Ukrainian athletes.

Yesterday, 11 October, in the evening a bus with the youth national team of Ukraine on Sambo turned on his side. As a result of the accident, the athletes were injured. However, the team decided to go to the world championship in Serbia.

“Fortunately, all are alive, though injured – mostly faces and bruises, says the President of the National Sambo Federation of Ukraine Vadym Rogach, who also rode that bus. – Two sportsmen remained in the hospital – God Bugaba and Elizaveta Didorenko, they suspected a concussion. Honestly, in the morning we begin to feel who it hurts. But still decided to go to the world Cup – the athletes want to fight. Maybe that’ll make the weigh-in the first day of competition, which starts today at 18.00 in 12 weight category”, – said the President of the National Sambo Federation.
