NBU expects inflation in 2017 at 12.2%.
Inflation in Ukraine in 2017 amounted to 12.2%. Although previously it was projected at 9.1%. This is referred to in the updated forecast of the National Bank.
“In the future, inflation will continue to slow down and move closer to the center point of the target range in the third quarter of 2018. At the end of 2018, inflation reached 7.3% (previous forecast of 6.0 per cent)”, – stated in the message.
The Central Bank noted that inflation expectations for 2019 is unchanged – 5%.
NBU adds that the assessment of core inflation for the current year has dropped from 6.1% to 8%, the next from 3.9% to 5.5% in 2019 from 2.8% to 2.9%.
