Zaharchuk analyzed dozens of articles on the topic of family conflicts after the divorce and came to the conclusion that the stepmother can greatly support the children, to help them avoid the stress due to the rupture of parents and to adapt to a new family, says the researcher.
In addition, Zaharchuk conducted a series of interviews and found that almost all the women interviewed by marriage, feel moms trying to take care of children from earlier marriages to their husbands.
From her point of view, “it is not necessary to spread the stereotype that step-mother is evil, far from children and cruel”. If the stepmother is in the family of a well-defined role, the atmosphere in the family improves, explains Zaharchuk.
