The head of the SBU called the victim in Mariupol employee’s best counterintelligence of Ukraine.
The basic version of death of the employee of security service, Colonel Alexander Kharaberyush in Mariupol, Donetsk region a terrorist act, associated with the professional activities of the deceased.
This was stated by the head of the SBU Basil Gritsak.
On Sunday in Mariupol took place the ceremony of farewell with Kharaberyush, who died in the car explosion.
“The main version which is fulfilled SBU is a terrorist attack, and it is connected with his professional activities. We clearly understand that came for him. He was the best intelligence officer in Ukraine”, – said Hrytsak.
According to the head of the SBU, when the murder was reported to the President Peter Poroshenko has decided to award the victim with the order “For courage” posthumously. According to the press service of the head of state, the corresponding decree was signed on 1 April.
After the farewell ceremony the head of the SBU was awarded the order of the father of the deceased.
As you know, the car bombing, which was Kharaberyush, occurred on March 31, in the Central district of Mariupol on crossing of the prospectus of Metallurgists and the street Kefayskoy.
He Kharaberyush, who held the position of Deputy chief of the main Department of counterintelligence of Donetsk management of SBU, died on the spot.
