The MPs rejected the draft law on the constitutional court

The Verkhovna Rada rejected the draft law on the constitutional court.

The adoption of the bill voted only 219 deputies with the required minimum of 226 votes.

Lawmakers debated the bill for more than seven hours. However, during the discussion, it rejected a number of amendments, which he was unbalanced. Subsequently, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy suggested deputies to return to consideration of amendments, but they did not want to do that.

The Parliament decided to reject the bill.

Recall that the draft law on the constitutional court, inter alia, envisaged the establishment of the Institute of constitutional complaint, the establishment of salaries for judges at 75 living wages, changes in the structure of the court.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy has expressed hope that deputies on 11 April will be the law on the constitutional court of Ukraine.
