The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine registered the draft law “On President of Ukraine and the order of termination of his powers”, authored by the extra fractional people’s Deputy Yuriy Derevyanko. This is the official website of the Verkhovna Rada.
Bill No. 7248 was registered on 31 October 2017. On the website of the Parliament still lacks the text and explanatory documents to it.
The author of the normative document Yuriy Derevyanko plans to submit it to 2 November at the square of Constitution near the Verkhovna Rada.
“Tomorrow we will have a great presentation of this bill. This bill is very important. This bill, regulating the activities of the constitutional Agency of the President of Ukraine and the termination of its activities, termination of its authority in case of violation of the law, high treason or other crimes,” — said Derevianko broadcast “Radio Liberty”, reports the press service of the Deputy.
According to him, the purpose of this bill is “addressing gaps in the current legislation that allow the President to act contrary to the Constitution and the interests of the people of Ukraine.”
