Release phones under the legendary brand will cease.
“When we acquired Motorola Mobility, we have become the company of two mobile units: Lenovo with its infrastructure and Motorola. All this time was the combination of these units. It is now possible to state that the process is over and there will be a single brand Lenovo moto”, – told in the press service of Lenovo.
The first smartphones combined the line will be presented 26 Feb at the MWC in Barcelona in 2017. The source also added that though smartphones will be released under the name Lenovo moto, on the devices themselves is only logo Moto.
Lenovo bought the specializing in the production of mobile division Motorola Mobility from Google for $2.91 billion in January 2014. Under the deal with Lenovo us Internet company will retain the patents of Motorola Mobility.
