“If you’re a lawyer, then a minimum of four years must unlearn stationary. Then you’re not mutilated their fate and not crippled the fate of people with whom you face, being a lawyer, judge, Prosecutor, civil servants”, – said Petrenko.

According to the Minister, requirements to future lawyers are no less high, than to future physicians, so the system of higher legal education in Ukraine, as well as medical and education should be stationary.

The proposed innovations, says Petrenko, will help to avoid the current distortion of legal education.

“Legal education over the past decade, just distorted because of its commercialization. When released lawyers, excuse me, culinary colleges. Here is a mountain specialist, who receives here a mountain-cum, then through some connections arranged, for example, in a law enforcement Agency without knowing the underlying basics of the science of law, jurisprudence, human rights, and begin to cripple the fate of others,” – said the head of the Ministry of justice.

As reported by Petrenko, a prohibition of correspondence courses for law students his Agency in the fall will be “locking in the form of the concept of reform of legal education.”
