Ukraine is ready to stop the transit of gas from Russia, said Minister of energy of the country Alexey Orzhel.
According to him, in Ukrainian underground storage facilities contain “a record amount of gas” that will allow you to pass the season, “without gas supply,” reports RIA “Novosti” with reference to ICTV channel.
At the same time, Ariel stressed that the Ukrainian authorities “do not rule out the priority” of a new agreement on transit.
Recall that the recent trilateral meeting on the issue of transit has not led to an agreement between Ukraine, Russia and the EU.
