The Minister spoke about the number of emergency bridges in Ukraine. Video

Every sixth bridge is in poor condition.

The Minister of infrastructure Vladimir Omelian said that in Ukraine, every sixth bridge, which is on balance of “Ukravtodor” is emergency.

“On balance “Ukravtodor” after the reforms, from 1 January 2018 is about 6 thousand bridges, a thousand of them in critical condition and another 2.5 million are in need of repair. This is a serious challenge before the country, because these bridges are to a greater extent strategic that combine not just settlements but entire main directions in the country”, – said the Minister of infrastructure.

The official noted that the period of 2016-2017 years overhaul was carried out more than 60 bridges, and in 2018 is planned to overhaul at least 45 bridges.
