The Minister said that taking into account the inflation index, which was in 2017, the minimum wage shall be UAH 4023. Therefore, the proposal of the President about establishment of the minimum salaries of RS 4100 is a calculated size, calculated the rate of the minimum salary, which according to legislation must be in Ukraine in 2018.

In addition, he reminded that the draft budget for the second reading remains the norm 3723 UAH.

“At the suggestion of the Ministry recorded that at the end of the first quarter in the budget to consider the possibility of reviewing this figure. The President proposes to do so not later than the third quarter of 2018, before the fall. But this will be implemented if economic resources permit to do so,” said Reva.

Recall that the minimum wage in Ukraine was increased to 3200 UAH per 1 января2017.

At the beginning of November, the average nominal wage amounted to 7377 UAH, having increased in October at an annual rate of 38%.Real wages increased by almost 20% in comparison with October of last year.

In addition, from 1 December, the Ukrainians have increased the subsistence minimum and social assistance.

The Cabinet plans from 1 January 2018 expected minimum salary will be UAH 3723, in 2019 this amount will reach UAH 4173, and in 2020 – 4425 UAH.

Petro Poroshenko proposed to raise the minimum wage in 2018 to 4100 UAH.
