Nasalik called Naftogaz threat of the gas market in Ukraine.
The gas market will not be created in Ukraine, while there will be Naftogaz of Ukraine, Minister of energy and coal industry Igor Nasalik.
“We have a law on the gas market but do not have gas market. While there will be ephemeral structure called NAK Naftogaz Ukrainy, the gas market in Ukraine will not. Without deregulation of Naftogaz of Ukraine will not move in this direction”, – quotes the Minister UKRINFORM.
He stressed that the creation of the gas market from the structure of Naftogaz should be allocated the function of gas transportation.
“The Ministry has fulfilled all its obligations. Naftogaz, obviously, has its own policy, which is completely different from the policy of the state. Cannot structure, which is a parasite on the Company, to monopolize the market of Ukraine, to create the market conditions,” said Nasalik.
Recall that in early November, Naftogaz stated that it is no longer a monopolist on the gas market of Ukraine. To confirm or refute this status, the company decided to contact the regulator with a request for the inspection.
After that the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine appealed to the OSCE with a request to provide the analysis, showing that the company lost the monopoly position in the Ukrainian gas market.
