From December 2018 to may 2019, the terrorists gave Ukraine 268 convicts, said the Ombudsman.
The rebels gave Ukraine 60 prisoners who were serving sentences in the Luhansk region. About the Ombudsman Lyudmila Denisova announced in Facebook.
“Again, I’m on the bridge in Happiness. Took 60 citizens of Ukraine who were in penal institutions of Luhansk region, and at the time of the occupation of Donbass was detained or serving sentences for crimes committed. This is the fifth stage of the transfer of prisoners from the occupied part of the Luhansk region”, — she noted.
From December 2018 to may 2019, the terrorists handed over to the Ukrainian side of the 268 convicts. Of them 105 people or their relatives were directly addressed with statements about the transfer, said the Ombudsman.
46 people have already been released.
During 2014-2019 translated 454 prisoners.
