The Migration service told how fast to obtain a biometric passport

The Minister advised Ukrainians to turn on the “hot line”, if the document you need to get in urgently.

In order to quickly make a biometric passport, the Ukrainians have to appeal to the public reception of the migration service or to write on the “hot line” in the case where a biometric passport is needed urgently. This was stated by the head of the State migration service, Maxim Sokoluk.

“It should be understood that the procedure takes a few days, because even a doubling of the unit for the processing of appeals of citizens is not complicated appeals very much,” he said.

Sokolyuk noted that the majority of citizens must produce passports “just in case”, just to have them.

“No system is designed for the crowd, so this growth resulted in the queue activation of fraud, even delay in producing documents,” he added.

As reported in Comigration service, after starting bezveza biometric passports began to make twice more, and the hype that accompanied the onset of action of a visa-free regime with the EU for Ukrainian citizens, has caused an unprecedented demand for passports.

“If in June-July 2016, we processed an average of 11 thousand passports every day, after the introduction of “bezveze” in June-July of this year the figure has reached 25 thousand – have more than doubled,” – said Sokolyk.
