Continues abnormally high demand for the issue of passports associated with the holiday season and the introduction of bizwise.
With the beginning of the year and more than 1 million 800 thousand passports are issued every day over 20 thousand documents.
Thus, cases of fraud with the paperwork, warns the State migration service.
“A large number wishing to issue a passport and queue units created the conditions for middlemen and scammers who offer “assistance” in obtaining biometric passports out of turn for 1,3 or 5 days. More likely that they can make such “intermediaries” is to contribute in the preparation of documents “out of turn”, – stated in the message.
It is noted that sometimes it is not without unscrupulous employees of the migration service, which are increasingly finding law enforcement. Often, however, such proposals fraud, since no travel Agency or any other person cannot guarantee either contact person at the division of the migration service a priority, nor the production of a passport in a short time.
Migration service of Ukraine reminds that in accordance with the current legislation, the passport of the citizen of Ukraine for travel abroad can be issued only in person and only one of three agencies: the division of the migration service center providing administrative services or in the service center “Passport service” state enterprise “Document”. Under any circumstances it is not necessary to use the services of any intermediaries, including for registration of documents out of turn.
In addition, the migration service advises citizens to refrain from planning foreign travel (booking hotels, buying tickets etc), not having the valid passport for traveling abroad, because due to significantly increased demand for documents may be delays in issuing them.
