The defense Ministry could make its choice in favor of custom cars VARTA under pressure from politicians, experts say.
Company Ukrainian armored vehicles has received 200 million UAH for the implementation of the secret contract of the Ministry of defence to supply armoured vehicles VARTA. Company Director Alexander Kuzma is a relative of the famous in pharmaceutical business Nicholas Kuzma, which in 2014 was assistant volunteer Sergey Pashinsky, Chairman of the parliamentary Committee on national security and defence.
In 2015, in comments to the media Nicholas Kuzma called himself the ideologist of creation of armored vehicles VARTA.
“The secret payment without contest out Prozorro for a car that has few competitors in the market of Ukraine and on the technical characteristics of which enough information on the Internet, suggests that the defense Ministry could make its choice in favor of VARTA under pressure from politicians,” – said Kanev.
At the same time, you know, the defense is trying to seek penalties from the company Ukrainian armored vehicles for the unfair execution of covert contracts in previous years.
In particular, now the Kyiv Economic court considers the claim of the Ministry of defence for the recovery of 6.67 million hryvnias for violation of the obligations under the contract dated July 6, 2018. And last year, the same court considered another claim for the recovery of 458 thousand.
