The decision was made at the local level, Martsinko said.
The mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk Ruslan Martsinko was appointed in town an extra day off on January 8. He stated this on his page in Facebook on Wednesday, January 2.
“At Christmas, January 8, will rest. This decision was made at the local level and will encourage the organizations to work out this working day on Saturday, January 5. If Kiev does not want to celebrate Christmas, it does not mean that we are in the holiday have to go to work. Christmas is a time that should be spent with families, go to Church! We’ll work the other day,” he wrote.
Recall that according to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, at Christmas, Ukrainians will have three days – two days off on Saturday and Sunday 5 and 6 January, and one additional Monday 7 January.
