Матч «Шахтер» - «Рома» отработают судьи из ШотландииThe judicial Committee of UEFA has named the referees who will work at the match 1/8 finals of the Champions League between Shakhtar and Roma.

The functions of the chief referee of the first ever match of the playoffs of the Champions League in Kharkov, will take over the authoritative Scottish referee Williams Kollam.

Assistants of the main referee appointed David Machichi and Francis Connor, additional assistants will perform Robert Madden and John Beaton, and
the fourth judge will be Douglas Potter.

Kollam is a FIFA Ref since 2006. 39-year-old teacher from Glasgow crossed a few times with the Ukrainian football.

In the 2008-2009 season Kollam has recorded a victory of “Metalist” over “an Olympiakos” (1:0) in the group stage of the Europa League, and a year later in Donetsk worked match of the Europa League between Shakhtar and Partizan (4:1).

In the 2010-2011 season, the Scot was a referee of the Champions League between “Dynamo” and “Gent” (3:0), as well as the match of the playoffs of the Europa League between Bayer and Metalist (2:0).

In the 2011-2012 season Kollam worked on the second leg of the 1/4 finals of the Europa League between Metalist and sporting (1:1), later tried a match of the group stage of the Champions League between Shakhtar and Bayern (0:0) the match of 1/8 final of the Champions League “Bavaria” – “Shakhtar” (7:0) and the match “Dinamo” –
“Napoli” (1:2) in the group stage of the Champions League 2016-2017.

The first match of 1/8 final of Champions League between Shakhtar and Roma will take place next Wednesday, February 21.
