Horror “Exhumation” (Exhume) is the directorial debut of Scott Pouilly, formerly known as the screenwriter of such films as “Cassadaga” and “Missionary.”
Looks like Pouilly decided not to risk it and turned to the topic that they have repeatedly exploited, along with Director Anthony Diblasi. This theme of different kinds of ghosts crying out from the dead for revenge and stuff.
Synopsis:
Patrick Connor and his wife, Karen, hired by the state of Florida to exhume bodies buried at former reform school for boys. Past is full of tragedies, the school was known for the sadistic torture and even murder of students at the beginning of the XX century. Some of these stories are so horrible that just can’t stay buried, and during the excavation of the family members of the Connors encounter with a supernatural force that causes them to doubt their own sanity and life.
Based on real events, by the way. And if in fact there is a place with such a dark history, it would be a sin not to remove it about a horror movie, agree?
The main castes of the movie are Alice Rietveld (“the Mentalist”), William Hayes (“Banshee”), Marty Stonerock (“Constantine”), Matthew Nardozzi (Chapter 27) and Sarah Sculco (“Cassadaga”).
Last year “the Exhumation” was shown at the American film market AFM and now I’ll take my chances in 2017 FrightFest in London. There are also “gate of the Devil,” “the Cult of Chucky” and “Leather face”, for example.
Let’s see how we will perform in such a company the creation of Scott Pouilly. Well, in the meantime here’s the trailer for “Exhumation”.
