To ward off predators from the village peasants used car alarms and loud cries.
Wild Asian lions appeared on the streets of Indian villages in Gujarat, has caused a stir among the locals.
Three predators were observed near the village of Gigean in South Gujarat. The lions slowly overcame the field on the border of the village and marched through the streets of Gigazine. After about ten minutes they left the village.
The frightened villagers in a panic to quit work and fled. One of the residents of Ghasana managed to remove the lions from a safe distance.
Locals suggest that predators come from settling down in the neighbourhood of the Gir reserve and is the only place in the world, which has preserved the Asiatic lions. Because its territory is insufficient to grown to 312 individuals of the population could feed themselves, animals are forced to seek new habitats.
In February it was reported that the hungry elephants came to a village in China’s Yunnan province in search of food and wandered around the area all night. At the sight of the animals, the locals locked the doors and climbed to the roof.
