The level of confidence in Putin has fallen to the lowest level since 2006

The level of trust of Russians to President Putin fell to the lowest level in 14 years. The corresponding open-ended question polls responded positively 28.3 percent of respondents.

The credibility of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin are now experiencing only 28.3 percent of the citizens. These are the results of a sociological poll conducted in March, published on Monday, April 27. This is the lowest figure since the beginning of this research in January 2006, which sets open-ended question: “If we talk about politicians, who do You trust?” In December 2019, the level of trust to Putin for the first time fell below 30 percent to 29.8%. In January it rose to 30.6%, but in February dropped again to 29%.

On a direct question about trust specifically to Putin, who polls asked on April 19, responded positively 69.8% of respondents. The peak of Putin’s trust, according to a poll carried out with a closed question observed 26 January 2020 73.9 per cent. On March 22, the confidence level fell to a mark of 67%.

After may 2019, when the trust Putin to the open question stated only 30.5% of respondents, VTSIOM sociologists began to use a closed question that suggests a clear answer (“please Tell me you trust or not trust [a particular policy]?”). Under the new methodology, at the end of may 2019 on confidence in the President said 72,3% of the respondents, about mistrust and 23.7%.

The level of trust of inhabitants of Russia to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin amounted to 52.1%, showed a survey with closed question, conducted in mid-April.
