The League of Nations: Ukraine starts in division B

At the end of the qualifying round for the world Cup formed a part of the divisions of the first draw of the League of Nations – a tournament designed to replace international friendlies.

List of divisions of the League of Nations:

Division A: Germany, Portugal, Spain, Belgium, England, France, Switzerland, Italy, Poland, Iceland, Croatia and the Netherlands.

Division B: Austria, Wales, Russia, Slovakia, Ukraine, Ireland, Sweden, Northern Ireland, Denmark, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic and Turkey.

Division C: Romania, Scotland, Slovenia, Hungary, Serbia, Albania, Norway, Greece, Montenegro, Israel, Bulgaria, Finland, Cyprus, Estonia and
Lithuania.

Division D: Azerbaijan, Macedonia, Georgia, Belarus, Armenia, Faroe Islands, Latvia, Luxembourg, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Liechtenstein, Malta, Kosovo, Andorra, San Marino and Gibraltar.

The draw of the League of Nations on 24 January 2018 in Lausanne. Division “B” will be divided into four groups of three teams. The national teams of Ukraine and Russia will be divided into different groups.

Four group winners from division “A” in June 2019 will determine the winner of the first draw of the League of Nations. Best teams from division “B” will move into the elite League of Nations.

According to the results of the League of Nations will determine the four participants of the final stage of Euro 2020 among those teams that failed to qualify for the European championship through traditional qualifications.
