European politicians have acknowledged that the new US administration throws them a call.
The leadership of the countries of the European Union experienced problems in finding common ground with the administration of new US President Donald trump. This was stated by the President of France Francois Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel during talks in Berlin.
“Frankly speaking, there are the challenges of the US administration. This also applies to the rules of trade and what is our common position for the solution of conflicts in the world,” said Hollande.
He noted that because Americans elected a trump, then negotiate with him to lead, but to do it “with conviction of the correctness of the European policy to promote our interests and our values”.
In turn, Angela Merkel expressed concern about the news from the United States. According to her, the overall structure of the world “drastic and rapid change”.
“We must solve these new problems from the point of view of protection of a free society”, – said the German Chancellor.
