Representatives from all countries came to a new decision.
On Tuesday evening, August 22 held a telephone conference of the presidents of Ukraine, France, Germany and Russia, the results of which issued a joint statement.
The heads of state “Norman Quartet” expressed its strong support for the decision of the Tripartite contact group to declare in the ATO zone on August 23 another ceasefire, timed to the beginning of the school year.
“The leaders expressed hope that the ceasefire will lead to a sustainable improvement of the security situation in the interests of the students and the entire civilian population of Donbass”, – said in a statement published on the official website of the President of Ukraine.
The two sides also expressed support for the implementation of the Minsk agreements on the basis of a sustainable ceasefire.
In addition, during a conversation with Emmanuel Macron, Angela Merkel and Vladimir Putin the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko noted the necessity of immediate release of all Ukrainian citizens being held hostage by the militants of the Russian-terrorist forces.
The Ukrainian President also informed the interlocutors about his visit to the Happiness of the Luhansk region and meeting with the OSCE observers, who are based in the Village of Lugansk.
Previous telephone conference of heads of States “Channel four” took place on 24 July. In negotiations took part the newly elected President of France Emmanuel macron.
During the talks, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and President of France Emmanuel macron stressed the inadmissibility of any statements which impinge on the territorial integrity of Ukraine and contrary to the Minsk agreements.
